AWANA |
What is AWANA? Awana is an international boys and girls church based club. The goal of Awana is stated in our pledge to the Awana flag: “to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” |
When does AWANA meet? Our Awana clubs meet on Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Starting in September through March. |
What happens at AWANA? The club meeting is divided into three segments: Game time, Handbook time, and Council time. |
How can parents help? Make AWANA a priority. You are busy, we know, but if you want to help your child(ren) be successful in AWANA, he/she needs to be in AWANA whenever possible. Encourage and help your child(ren) to spend at least 10 minutes a day preparing for AWANA by working in the handbook and participating in our “theme” nights (information will be sent home weekly regarding these nights). |
What else do we need to know? Weekly dues are 50 cents per week. Medical and emergency information must be on file for each child. No child will be left out due to financial reasons. Please see the AWANA commander or Pastor of the church if you need assistance with dues or uniforms. |
